Just thought I would have a chat to about what’s been going on with me. I have had a few allergy attacks and had to change the whole household to the way of eating. It’s been driving everyone crazy and had a few of my friends asking me how my “Air diet is going? The reason I am talking about it on my site is that Salicylate are in bath & body products as well as food. So I have started doing the research to change our products to suit me and many others who this type of sensitivity. Don’t worries the old favourite will still be available on our site.
Salicylates are chemicals that occur naturally in many plants – they’re a kind of natural pesticide – to protect the plants against insects and diseases.
What kinds of foods/products are they found in?
Salicylates are found in foods from plants: most fruit, some vegetables, herbs, spices, tea and flavour additives. For example, citrus fruit, berries, tomato sauce and mint flavouring are naturally high in salicylates and so are processed foods with those flavours.
Salicylates are also found in medications, fragrances, industrial chemicals, plastics and some pesticides, and can cause adverse effects when inhaled as well as eaten.
So I will endeavour to to change our products to suit many. So let the trials begin.
Our first products to be on the new rang will be soap. Our essential oils will be of the purest quality and organic certified. So lets start the party!
Well I was on the road again with my daughter on Saturday in the early hours of the day to Walkatchem. With head lights on we began our journey through the the fog, which lasted throughout the whole journey.
We travelled through the counrtyside a a reduced speed than normal as we could not see more than 2 car lengths in front of us. We encountered a few kangaroos coming out of the fog too and as we were just about at Wylie there was a metal create sticking out of the side of the road. We were really glad to reach Wylie. We arrived the the Wylie Newsagency and greeted by the owner Dawn & a warm fire. The warmth of the fire was an nearly as warm as the people of the town of Walkatchem. Thank you 🙂 We had a great morning spreading the love of our new look products.
Hope your all having a wonderful day and getting ready for the well deserved break over Christmas.
I know we will be spreading the love around the Wheatbelt in the next 3 weeks.
Outback Aromas has workshops in Kalannie, Bencubbin, Narembeen, and Kellerberrin & Merredin. Creating Soaps, Lip Balms, Hand Creams & Bath Bombs.
We love travelling the many km to meet and greet many people. There is nothing better than getting a group of people together, to create goodies from raw materials. Many people are scared at the fact of putting fragrances, colours, cocoa butter, bees wax, olive oil, coconut oil, almond oil, preservatives in their hand and saying you are going to create products with the raw ingredients.
Our workshops are informative, fun and everyone has a lot of laughs. Students are amazed at what they learn about the products they make in the workshop compared to what they use at home. Informing the public and giving them a natural alternative is our aim with some fun along the way.
Our workshops are from the basic up to the advance range. Every student goes away with their creations and usually half way through the workshop you see people’s mind tick over and the creativity really takes over. I love giving the kids the basics of the class and watch the magic take over. With every workshop I teach I leran something I did not know. As we are all inspirational human beings we can teach one another so much more.
A blend of aromas, colours and creativity go hand and hand in our workshops, it’s also a great way to socialise with others as you wait for a set stage of your product to move too and cure. All of our family also was feel up lifted and full of energy after each workshop. If we can spread a little joy this Christmas period and each student takes away a little part of our workshop fun and their goodies we are happy.
Thank you to all
